Food: 4 stars - Quality and taste is up there. However, quantity of toppings and overall size of their pizzas are pretty disappointing for their price point. I ordered a meat lover and added onions and spinach which costed me about $21. The pizza wasn't even enough to feed my wife and I. Dough was very thin and sauce was light. Toppings did not even cover close to the edge/crust of the pizza. If I'm going to spend $20+ on a pizza, I would hope to be able to feed more than one person. Service: 3 stars - Lots of younger adults or even teens working here. Not a bad thing, but their customer service skills could use some help. No welcome greeting when I walked in. Nobody is smiling towards the customer; they only smile with energy when talking amongst themselves. Each pizza is made to order and looks like they only have one brick oven so pizza orders can get backed up. My order took about 20 minutes to complete and the place was not even busy. I can't imagine the wait when there's a packed house. Ambiance: 4 stars - Everything is modern and clean looking. There is a nice bar area open to the outside patio. I can see this place being a nice spot for a little date night or even family dining. Overall: 4 stars - I would recommend this place for the pizza connoisseur looking for quality above quantity or anyone willing to pay for upscale pizzas. When it comes to pizza options, Char definitely would not be a regular pick for me. It's got its niche in the pizza market but could use some improvements if they want to capture the more broader pizza eater like myself. Either make the customer experience upscale to match their price point, find a way to speed up the wait times, ramp up the customer service training points or reduce the profit margins to meet the customers at a lower price point. I'd say an overall 4 stars rating is fair all things considered. I'd come back, but not anytime soon.

The pizzas, while of high quality and excellent taste, are relatively on the smaller side and thin, definitely a one-per-person style pizza. Nonetheless, the service is commendable, with cheerful and attentive staff. The ambiance is also quite pleasant, featuring tasteful decor and cleanliness, contributing to an overall positive dining experience.

Overall, the food and drinks are great! We love eating here. However; the past couple times we've noticed some employees wearing ear buds (which appeared impersonal in the customer service industry) and more importantly, the business closed early despite the 10pm closing time. Nothing is more rude to customers when sitting in an establishment than "closing early" while people are still eating or drinking. We frequent this location and have had more than a few negative experiences now. One of the most ridiculous being in November. We had already paid our food bill (as that is done immediately upon ordering) but had ordered two drinks from the bar (one beer on tap and one call drink and coke). We were told their "systems were down" and our bill couldn't be cashed out ‍. I said that we would pay cash. Was told by the bartender and manager they didn't know the price of our bill because they didn't know the cost of our items. They said we'd have to come back the following day to pay our tab. Absolutely ridiculous . An establishment should know what everything costs and be prepared for things such as this. So I write this review to the owner and managers of Char to advise... people notice. Especially those of us who worked MANY years in the hospitality industry.

Good pizza! Glad to have a wood fired pizza spot so close. It's nice to get a little fancy with pizza occasionally. They do it well. The ricotta cheesecake was great.

My wife and I visited Char again this evening and what a great experience. We sat at the bar and the ASU game was on. My wife had a local wine Arizona Stronghold made by Provisioner and she said it was very good. I had the Bianca Pizza (must have). Try the oil and peppers!!! My wife enjoyed her Char salad with grilled chicken. The atmosphere was fantastic, especially with the live music. Our bartender Mariah was fantastic. Drinks were always full and food came out quick. We will definitely be back again.

I've never had a bad experience here. It's such a fun inviting atmosphere. I can come alone and read or get work done. I can come with my family and eat and play board games. I can come with friends and relax and hangout. It's one of my favorite spots in North Peoria!

Kicking myself for taking so long to write a review considering I have been coming here for years. Without a doubt my favorite wood fired pizza place in the west valley and probably the entire state. Everything is always made fresh to order and between the unique menu offerings and the options to choose your own toppings there is always something here for everyone. The bacon and corn pizza is a must try and quite possibly the best kept secret on the menu. The outside patio and open air bar area is my favorite thing about this place. Very inviting on a nice day to enjoy one of their cold pitchers or a glass of wine. Also very family friendly with foosball and giant connect four to play outside. I have never had a bad experience here and you won't either, and I keep looking forward to supporting this locally owned small business.

Stopped in for lunch with my hubby this past week and enjoyed individual pizzas. Service was quick and good. We were able to enjoy the nice outside patio and the pizza was delicious. We would come back again. My hubby opted for the spicy sausage pizza and I created my own with pepperoni and black olives.
